Terms of Service

The terms that govern the use of Reactive Dog Stays, including listings, subscriptions, liability and how disputes are handled.

What we are

Reactive Dog Stays is an online directory that helps owners find overnight care for dogs who cannot be around other dogs. We do not provide boarding, sitting or any other pet-care service. Bookings, payments and the terms of each stay are agreed directly between the owner and the host.

Listings

Listings may be submitted by hosts or created from public information about their services. A listing's confirmation status shows whether its details have been confirmed by the host. Publication is not an endorsement or a guarantee of the host's setup.
We may edit, reject, unpublish or remove a listing at any time if it contains inaccurate information, no longer fits the directory, or violates these terms.
A listing is not an endorsement, guarantee or insurance of the host or the stay. Owners must make their own judgement and ask the host any questions they need before booking.

Subscriptions

Paid listing plans are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If a paid listing is removed for violating these terms, no refund will be issued.

Paid listings are labelled Sponsored on the site when they receive paid placement.

Cancelling a paid plan

Hosts can cancel a paid listing plan from the host portal ("Cancel at period end"). The plan stays active until the end of the period already paid and does not renew. After that, the listing stays published on the free plan.

Early host offer

The Early host offer is a discounted paid plan for the first 25 active subscriptions or until March 31, 2027, whichever comes first. It has the same features as Premium, and the price is locked while the subscription stays continuous. Switching between monthly and yearly billing keeps the price. After moving to Premium or Founding sponsor, or after cancelling an Early host plan, a listing cannot return to the Early host price.

Founding sponsor offer

A Founding sponsor listing is an annual paid placement with one sponsor available per city. It receives the sponsor placement described on the pricing page while the subscription is active.

Liability

Reactive Dog Stays is not liable for any loss, injury, damage or dispute arising from a stay arranged through the directory. All claims related to a stay must be resolved between the owner and the host. We do not inspect hosts or independently verify an unverified listing. Owners must confirm the setup directly with the host.

Acceptable use

You may not use the directory to spam, mislead, harass, or collect data unlawfully. You may not scrape listings or contact details automatically. We may suspend access for violations.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the directory evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions can be sent through the contact page.
